Yes, You Can!

by Matthew Keegan

If you are an entrepreneur, you know that your success cannot depend on the opinions of others. Like the wind, opinions change...like the weather, opinions change frequently. To succeed at any endeavor, you must stay the course...no matter what the cost! Here are some surefire tips to help you on your journey.
1. Avoid Negativity. Negative people are all around us. They can include our loved ones as well as a dear friend. Most often, it is the opinions of total strangers that breeds the most negativity as if someone who doesn’t know or understand you is able to voice a reasonably thought out opinion about you.
No, you shouldn’t avoid those who are close to you, rather there are areas of conversation that are less profitable. Accept criticism constructively, but steer the conversation away from nonstop negative banter. Negativity will grow on you unless you take control.

Self Identity: Who Are You?

by Steven Gillman

Self-identity? Who are you really? We identify with many things, but this is just a process in our minds. In fact, this identification causes us to suffer.
Your favorite basketball team loses, and you suffer as though YOU lost. Your car is damaged and it feels like YOU are hurt. Somebody attacks who they think you are, and it is as though they could actually reach inside and poke at your true self. Is there a way to escape this unecessary drama and pain?
Perhaps, if you can see what you are not. Seeing this clearly can free you from much of the suffering that comes from identification. Try this simple meditation.

The Powers of a Positive Attitude

by Kim And Charles Petty

I am going to ask you to something very weird right now. First of all, I want you to listen to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts fill your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative?
Now let's say you are walking down the street with these thoughts. Do you think anyone who would meet you would be able to tell you what's on your mind?

What makes us better and greater then what we are?

by Adam Peters

This article emphasizes on the most important phenomenon of life, the pursuit of excellence and perfection. It also throws light on what brought Spartans to extinction, which gives you a better idea on what this article is all about.  The 'Spartan' word gives the meaning as austere, frugal or simple. It is dedicated to one city in Greece. The people of this city left the world with an excellent lesson on what does pursuit of excellence mean. They however focused mostly on military ability and that became the reason for their extinction. In ancient Greece pursuit of excellence was pertained in many numbers of skills.

Wake Up to Your Life

by Carrie Spry

I woke up one day from my unconsciousness. I had no control over my life. It had been on autopilot for years. All of my decisions had been made unconsciously. How did I get where I was? My whole life felt like a dream. The only real thing I do feel, is this moment, right now. It is the only thing I can be sure of. Had I enjoyed the past years of my life, they all seem like distant memories. Why had I live unconsciously?

Life is About Choices and the Decisions We Make

by Kim And Charles Petty

Life is like a road. There are long and short roads, smooth and rocky roads, crooked and straight paths. In our life many roads would come our way as we journey through life. There are roads that lead to a life of single blessedness, marriage, and religious vocation. There are also roads that lead to fame and fortune on one hand, or isolation and poverty on the other. There are roads to happiness as there are roads to sadness, roads towards victory and jubilation, and roads leading to defeat and disappointment.

There are lots of ladies who will agree that their lives are stressful and it is hard to keep everything together. Also, lots of ladies will tell you that their purses are normally big messes with everything their entire lives shoved into the handbag. This is where a can be a good idea. Happy as You Want to Be

by Kim And Charles Petty

Almost everyone have heard the hit single 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of being happy to everyone. Bobby Mcferiin's simple message surely made a lot of people by telling them not to worry.  Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Choosing Happiness

by Jodie Foster

Did you know that it’s up to you?  It’s actually your choice.  You can choose to be happy instead of waiting around for it to suddenly appear out of nowhere one day and land in your lap. Happiness is called upon and cultivated.  Now keep in mind, this is my personal perspective of happiness. You might have a different view. Everyone has a unique view point, especially where emotion is concerned. But, nonetheless, I like my outlook on happiness. It helps me to see that I am the creator of my own thoughts and state of mind.

Forgiving

by Brook Noel

“The important thing to remember when it comes to forgiving is that forgiveness doesn’t make the other person right; it makes you free.” --Stormie Omartian
How do we know if we need to forgive someone, something, or even ourselves? We know because we feel a gnawing sadness inside of us, although we may not know the cause.
The interesting thing about choosing not to forgive, is that it hurts us more than anyone else. Your inability to forgive anything or anyone in your world may hurt someone else a bit, but I guarantee it hurts you and your world a hundred times more.

Organize Your Life Through Goal Setting

by Elliott Roberts

If you are unhappy with your current level of productivity at work or your effectiveness as a parent or household manager, allow me to suggest to you that tracking your achievements will turn your life around. Without goals and priorities, you may make it through each day and even make a little progress here and there.  But you will not be well rounded and most effective in all areas of your life until you take the time to think about what is important to you, write it down, then cross it off and recognize it once it has been accomplished. This simple self help method is called "goal setting."

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

by Kim And Charles Petty

Life isn't the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere - "How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?" Then I pause and observed for a while I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called 'self.'

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

How To Spend More Time With Your Family

Often families although living under one roof, find it extremely hard to spend time with each other. There are several reasons for this. Here we will discuss different ways how you can spend time with your family. One of the major reasons why family meetings are scarcely found is that they usually turn into an interrogation session where parents often throw 'questions' their children about their lives, instead of 'talking' about it in a healthy and friendly manner. These meetings also tend to get very monotonous and boring over time, mainly because families tend to do the same things again and again. What they don't seem to understand is that, there are plenty of things that families can do together. It will only improve the bond among them, and help them to understand each other better. Try having dinner more often with your family. There are so many things that you can talk about over dinner. However if you make it compulsory everyday, it may become like a mere formality. Instead keep one day in the week depending on everyone's convenience, when the whole family has dinner together. However, make sure that dinner doesn't only consist of the boring things that you have everyday. You can increase the number of things on the menu to make the dinner fun and also longer. Make sure you increase the number of dishes on that day. You can have a couple of starters and a great desert as well. You can also once in a while, watch a good movie with your entire family. Pick a good family movie that everyone would like. There are also plenty of board games that your family could play together. Games like Scrabble and Monopoly. You can also play different card games like Uno.

Happiness: Your Choice!

by Dave Ferruolo

Every day, I witness people leading chaotic lifestyles, responding like robots to the negative circumstances of their lives, creating more dissonance and conflict. They seek solace in the next best thing, person or position they can find, but always end up frustrated and wondering why they are not truly happy. It is a conundrum of sorts. Sadly, it is self-perpetuating. Stress, negativity and unpleasant reactions to everyday situations only beget more of the same experiences on a deeper level. This, of course, creates undue stress on your body, mind and spirit.

Life Purpose: How To Be in Love with Life

by Bernice Lupo

Falling In Love with Life
There is no feeling in the world like the feeling of energized, on purpose living.
Have you ever been in love? You smile easily, you lie in bed for a little longer in the morning letting yourself dream and everything you do seems to have more color, more depth. That’s a lot how it is when your life is doing what you know it should be.
