All Reality Is Merely The Power Of Mind

by William J Stevens

All of us remember the United Negro College Fund commercials of the 80s; or at the very least, we remember its slogan: 'the mind is a terrible thing to waste.' While we're talking about something different than going to university today, the slogan is definitely on point here. Our minds have a lot of potential which most of us are letting go unused. The power of the mind is something that none of us should waste and when we know how to tap into these unused resources, we can change our lives and event the world.

Organize Your Life Through Goal Setting

by Elliott Roberts

If you are unhappy with your current level of productivity at work or your effectiveness as a parent or household manager, allow me to suggest to you that tracking your achievements will turn your life around. Without goals and priorities, you may make it through each day and even make a little progress here and there.  But you will not be well rounded and most effective in all areas of your life until you take the time to think about what is important to you, write it down, then cross it off and recognize it once it has been accomplished. This simple self help method is called "goal setting."

What Are the Benefits of Free Paid Surveys?

A lot of us are always looking for another opportunity to make money. Whether our job pays us well, or we’re pretty limited to the amount of money we can spend, more money is always better. The only problem with making more money is that it can be very hard to do. We either need to pick up more hours at our job or we need to get a second job.
Both of those can be pretty difficult, so it’s a good idea to think otherwise and come up with another way to make money. People don’t realize it, but the Internet is a great way to make money. You can create websites for a living, do online marketing, sell items, write for blogs or even take paid surveys.

Nothing Is Impossible

by Dan Celentano

It was a real tough obstacle to overcome. No, it wasn’t the fact that he grew up in poverty or that his father was arrested for robbery when he was twelve. There was something else Tyrone had to overcome if he ever wanted to fulfil his dream of becoming a basketball player. Something that seemed to bother everyone else much more than it did him.

But Tyrone never listened to what other people said anyway. He still went out for his high school basketball team and not only started all four years, but guided Dunbar High School to a state championship and through two straight undefeated seasons.

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

by Kim And Charles Petty

Life isn't the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere - "How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?" Then I pause and observed for a while I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called 'self.'

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

How To Spend More Time With Your Family

Often families although living under one roof, find it extremely hard to spend time with each other. There are several reasons for this. Here we will discuss different ways how you can spend time with your family. One of the major reasons why family meetings are scarcely found is that they usually turn into an interrogation session where parents often throw 'questions' their children about their lives, instead of 'talking' about it in a healthy and friendly manner. These meetings also tend to get very monotonous and boring over time, mainly because families tend to do the same things again and again. What they don't seem to understand is that, there are plenty of things that families can do together. It will only improve the bond among them, and help them to understand each other better. Try having dinner more often with your family. There are so many things that you can talk about over dinner. However if you make it compulsory everyday, it may become like a mere formality. Instead keep one day in the week depending on everyone's convenience, when the whole family has dinner together. However, make sure that dinner doesn't only consist of the boring things that you have everyday. You can increase the number of things on the menu to make the dinner fun and also longer. Make sure you increase the number of dishes on that day. You can have a couple of starters and a great desert as well. You can also once in a while, watch a good movie with your entire family. Pick a good family movie that everyone would like. There are also plenty of board games that your family could play together. Games like Scrabble and Monopoly. You can also play different card games like Uno.

Motivation To Change, Why Is It So Hard?

by Lynne Dean

We encounter constant changes throughout our life; it could be educational, health, relationships or financial, and of course with oneself. Maintaining or increasing one’s sense of self-worth and happiness are strong incentives for these changes.
Too often trials and errors affect our self-esteem and therefore hinder true engagement in learning and changing. It’s very comforting to have a routine, and very frightening to go forward to the unknown. Its takes courage and determination. This is nothing new. You have done it before, perhaps not deliberately but you have gone through many changes during your life.
